Living alone!
It is important to feed yourself with good food and positive thoughts for your mind.
Things which are happening around are not that pleasant but we have to accept new this reality and fight with it. Being grateful for what you have is essential.
Then, how did I protect myself from negative vibes? Simple answer: Just do whatever you like!
I used to do yoga 3 days per week, dance, have late evening/early morning walk within the yard of my society, did terrace gardening, house cleaning, changing bedsheet and cushion covers more frequently than required (the smell of fresh sheet can't be explained). These are the basic to do-list one can refer to make them busy and happy.
Also some more: read good content books or web surf, watch movies which have good humor, talk to friends, do videocall and take screenshots (make memories), try different featured apps, play games or have conference call with school/college friends.
One thing I personally noticed, we don't get up with 100% of energy every day, There were days when i felt low. Whenever i felt low, I talk about it and trust me there will always be something or someone who will listen. Never pretend that you are okay when you aren't. We are human with emotion after all.. not robots :)
Life has to be lived with happiness. Try to live by taking little steps .. one at a time and one day at a time :)
At the end of the day..it is in our hand to control our life and its situations :)
